Composting Toilet

A Clivus Multrum composting toilet was added to Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve. This toilet does not use water and does not pollute groundwater. Waste is contained in a chamber beneath the toilet where it is composted. A solar panel on the roof of the building runs a ventilation fan. URWA is grateful to The Hyde and Watson Foundation for funding this important project that has improved the wildlife preserve for visitors and provided education for the public.
