Wake Up Call Recap

URWA sends a heartfelt thank you to all of the speakers, members, neighbors and municipal leaders who participated in our 2009-2010 breakfast series. The exchange of valuable information and the ensuing give and take of the audience during each program go to the heart of URWA’s mission. Speakers and topics in the recently concluded Wake Up Call series included:

  1. Tom Gilbert, NJ’s Keep it Green Campaign
  2. Julie Jurusz, NJ Beekeepers Association
  3. Julia Somers, NJ Highlands Conformance
  4. Emile DeVito, Migratory Ecology of NJ’s Birds
  5. MacKenzie Hall, NJ’s Bats
  6. Judy Shaw, Raritan River Basin
  7. Carolle Huber, Sustainable Communities
  8. Melissa Almendinger & Michael Van Clef, Invasive Plants

We also extend our appreciation to Kathy and Tom West who graciously opened up the JAM/Limestone Café in Peapack for these warm and welcoming Wednesday morning breakfasts. Visit us again to view our up and coming speakers for our 2010-2011 Wake Up Call series.
