Wake Up Call Recap

2010 - 2011

URWA sends a heartfelt thank you to all of the speakers, members, neighbors and municipal leaders who participated in our 2010-2011 breakfast series. The exchange of valuable information and the ensuing give and take of the audience during each program go to the heart of URWA's mission. Speakers and topics in the recently concluded Wake Up Call series included:

Richard Anthes, NJ Water Supply Authority: River Friendly Program

Beth Styler Barry, Musconetcong Watershed: Dam Removal

Kelly Mooij, NJ Audubon: Threatened & Endangered Species Rules

Michelle Ruggiero, NJDEP Fish & Wildlife: Know the Bear Facts

Michael Van Clef- NJ Invasive Species Strike Team: Invasive Species Update

Mike Bobek, National - Resources Conservation Service: Primer on Grant Programs

We also extend our appreciation to the Clarence Dillon Library and especially to Sandy Putnam, who graciously opened up the library to URWA for these warm and welcoming Wednesday morning discussions.

For directions to the library, please see below. For further information contact: Kate Deans, 908.234.1852 ext. 16 or email at: kate@urwa.org
