If you have a few hours to spare each month and would like to volunteer some time helping URWA with stewardship projects such as trail or garden maintenance, children's activities, photographic documentation of the watershed or even clerical support in our office, please don't hesitate to get involved. There is more than enough work to go around -- we can match your interests and availability with our needs! Just give us a call at (908) 234-1852 and tell us how you'd like to become more involved in protecting the watershed we all love so much.
Help us identify special places in the watershed. Do you have a favorite picnic spot within the Upper Raritan region? A place you go when you want to reconnect with the natural world? If so, send us a photo and a brief description of it. We will compile a list of places off-the-beaten track where people can enjoy a picnic, hike or just some quiet time in the out-of-doors. We'll enter the name of each person who submits a favorite place into a drawing for free admission to our upcoming Old Fashioned Country Fair (a $20 value) so that you can bring a carload of family members and friends to URWA's signature event on Sunday, October 10th. For more information, please contact Susan Brookman at (908) 234-1852, ext. 20 or email sbrookman(at)urwa(dot)org.
