URWA PreservesThe Association owns and manages over 370 acres of environmentally sensitive land throughout the Upper Raritan Watershed region. Each of the 10 extraordinary properties that make up this land is operated as a wildlife refuge and made available to the general public for passive recreation, including nature study, hiking, birding, and just plain "being" in the outdoors.URWA owns the properties listed below: URWA is committed to the proper management of open spaces and is actively carrying out stewardship duties on these lands that have been entrusted to the Association for preservation in perpetuity. Each property is inspected by URWA staff, a full report is written annually and properties are posted, monitored and managed. The Association’s Land Management and Natural Science Committees support these activities coordinating cleanups, maintenance/stewardship projects and neighbor education. |
