Community Service Projects at URWA

Opportunities abound for you to help URWA serve the community and the environment while fulfilling your community service requirement. Come share your free time and talents with us.

Community Service opportunities include the following:
  • Country Fair - This annual fundraiser is held on a Sunday in October. We need volunteers to help organize, set up, clean up, and/or assist with event activites.
  • Bird and Butterfly Garden - Help us plant, weed, label, maintain, and/or collect horticultural and wildlife references.
  • Natural Science Programs - Assist in or teach environmental education programs for elementary school students, scouts, or citizens.
  • Nature Walks - Lead or assist weedkay or weekend walks at Fairview Farm. Suggest a topic!
  • Stream Clean-up - Coordinate or assist clean-up events along impacted streams.
  • Nature Day Camp - Assist in outdoor explorations and nature craft projects during summer camp.
  • Mailings - Help prepare URWA's correspondence for distribution.
  • Trail/Ground Maintenance - Help prune, weed, and clean the grounds of Fairview Farm.
  • Office - Assist URWA staff by answering phones, filing, photocopying, running errands or office cleaning.

To volunteer, please print and return our Individual or Group Community Service Registration Form. Documentation is available upon completion of service.
