Cindy Ehrenclou
Executive Director of URWA, was appointed February, 2006 with over twelve years experience as the Association's Development Director. She oversees all operations and program areas including a growing land preservation program. She established URWA's Education and Outreach Program for children throughout the region and founded Wake Up Call, an environmental informational breakfast series for municipal leaders. She serves on the board of the Highlands Coalition, is a member of the the NJ Land Trust Council and is a member of Leadership New Jersey's Class of 2007. She holds degrees from Colby Sawyer College and Washburn University.

Sharon McCann
Finance Director, is responsible for the coordination of all finance and budgetary matters for URWA. She concurrently serves as the Finance Director for the Great Swamp Watershed Association. She has an extensive financial background in specialty chemicals, fabric printing, and publishing and has held senior management positions in each of these areas. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University and a M.B.A. in Accounting from Farleigh Dickinson University.

Melissa Mitchell
GIS Director, is responsible for all IT and GIS Services at URWA. Her GIS responsibilities include mapping, analyzing spatial and digital data, creating custom maps, ads and brochures to support URWA's Land and Educational programs. She also administers URWA's intranet/internet website and local network. She previously served the Washington State Department of Ecology, Water Resources as an Information Technology Application Specialist. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Minot State University.

Perry Boynton
Property Manager, is responsible for the management of Fairview Farm as well as grounds, equipment and facilities. Additionally, he is responsible for the maintenance of all fee-owned properties held by URWA. He has extensive background in environmental licensing while working for the States of Colorado and New Hampshire as well as a New Jersey electric utility. He holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Denver and a degree in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado.

Kate Deans
Director of Operations, is responsible for developing and managing all special events, coordinating membership activities and maintaining the donor and member database. With a strong background in office management, she has previously served as Executive Assistant to the Headmaster at Gill St. Bernard's School in Gladstone and as Office Manager at a local equine hospital. Beyond her administrative duties, she oversees development events, including URWA's biennial Dinner Dance and the Barn Dance. Kate has completed coursework in administrative management as well as attending various seminars in computer literacy.

Susan Brookman
Membership Program Director, is working to increase the visibility of URWA in our communities, recruit and retain members, and raise funds to support our annual operating budget. Susan spent eight years in a variety of roles with the Girl Scouts in Missouri and Georgia, and eight years as the Executive Director of the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium in Florida. She holds a B.A. in Education from the University of Montana and a M.B.A. from Georgia College. After retiring from full-time work in 2000, she spearheaded the development of a Watershed Council and was deeply involved in growth management and Everglades restoration efforts in Florida before moving to Tewksbury late in 2006.

Lauren Theis
Stewardship Program Manager, is responsible for managing stewardship activities including URWA’s Stream Monitoring Program and Conservation Easement Monitoring. Lauren will support the Association’s education/outreach programs and will provide corporations, civic groups, students and scouts with volunteer opportunities to learn and apply stewardship principles in locations throughout the watershed region. Lauren graduated from Cook College, Rutgers University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biological Sciences.

Melissa Almendinger
Invasive Species Coordinator, is responsible for coordinating and implementing the Central Jersey Invasive Species Strike Team, a regional, cooperative weed management initiative. Formerly, URWA’s Stewardship Director, Melissa is focusing on this project intended to detect and eradicate newly forming populations of invasive species on both public and private lands throughout central NJ. Melissa holds a B.S. in Natural Resource Management from Rutgers University and is a New Jersey Certified Science

Robert Reid
Land Projects Manager, is responsible for URWA’s land acquisition projects and for the conservation easement monitoring program. Robert has been an advocate for the protection of the Highlands Region and the building of the Highlands Trail. As a trustee of the Hunterdon Land Trust, he is a member of the Land Acquisition and Stewardship Committee, and is chair of the Dvoor Farm Committee. He holds bachelor and masters degrees in sculpture from the University of Tennessee. He maintains a studio near Frenchtown.

Joy Seal-Ettel
Foundation Relations/Consultant, brings over nine years of fundraising experience to URWA. Her background encompasses corporate, foundation and federal grantwriting, partnership development, capital campaign management, and events planning. In the late 1990s-2003 she assisted with land preservation and species protection efforts for The Nature Conservancy's Northeast Mexico Program and worked across multiple Divisions to secure funding for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC). She holds a combined B.A. in English and Latin American Studies from Lewis and Clark College (1994) and an M.A. in Sociology Magna Cumme Laude, from the University of Texas (2001).

Jeremy Carlson
AmeriCorps Volunteer, will be working to build environmental awareness and stronger communities through volunteer projects and education outreach. Jeremy graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a B.S. in Integrated Science, a concentration in Business Administration and a minor in Psychology. He is currently enrolled as an Environemntal Management graduate student at Montclair State University. He is also a member of the NY NJ Trail Conference and volunteers his time as a trail maintainer
in the Pequannock Watershed.
